CARRIZO PLAIN CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE CO-ED CAMPOUT
April 17-19, 2020
CARRIZO RIDE-OUT HIDE-OUT | CO-ED | C.Y.O.A.
Our Second Annual, Carrizo Campout, co-hosted with Breaking Away Motorcycle Adventures! Tucked away in California’s central valley, the Carrizo Plain National Monument offers many treasures, the Spring Super Bloom, Indian Painted Rocks, Soda Lake, and many more. This weekend provides a home base ‘ride-out hide-out’ campsite, with dirt trails interweaving the gorgeous landscape in every direction.
Being centrally located is half of the fun of the weekend, allowing you to ‘Choose your own Adventure’ from the stunning 7 mile drive up state route 58, to heading down to Ojai for lunch at the legendary Deer Lodge, or just staying in the Carrizo, and riding the miles and miles of trails.
The purpose of this trip is to showcase the amazing motorcycle community that is alive and kicking. This is far from a ‘glamping’ event, or a luxury tour. Instead, we are roughing it at a tucked away campsite without water or facilities, (though both are a short drive). Breakfast is provided by the hosts, and dinner is a communal affair with a potluck style camp dinner around the fire.
Capping off our epic days of riding, will be fireside entertainment featuring live music, campy motorcycle movies, and endless shenanigans.
Pack your bags, choose your bike, bring dinner potluck options & get ready for a kick ass time. We are hoping for the wildflowers in the area to be in bloom as well, but unfortunately we can’t control everything.
Camp out, stay at a hotel nearby, ride dirt, ride pavement, choose your own adventure!
There is a hard packed dirt road that you will be required to take to arrive to the event site, please be cautious riding this road wether or not you are on a motorcycle that is made to ride off pavement.
